Renaissance Seniors Academy

The Renaissance Seniors Academy (RSA) is committed to providing a friendly environment where seniors gather for socialization, arts and crafts, life enrichment sessions, educational services, and health and fitness activities. Resources and activities are designed to support and encourage senior program participants to remain a vital part of their communities. RSA serves as a gateway for connection to Prince George's County, Maryland, and to Federal Government services.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, RSA sessions have been suspended. We gather on a weekly conference call to stay connected. Participants receive a packet of "at home" activities" and are contacted regarding their food distribution day.

When in session, there is limited pick-up and return transportation provided for center activities and group outings. Hot lunches are provided for a minimal cost.

Activities include:

Trips to the theater, plays, shopping centers. and luncheons
In-house arts and crafts, poetry reading, short stories and games

Information sessions by representatives from companies and agencies such as AARP, The Arthritis Foundation, Washington Hospital Center Community Relations and the American Diabetes Association
Other senior focused activities

Participants meet in September to suggest activities of interest for scheduling during the year. These activity suggestions are woven into the upcoming calendar.

RSA caters to seniors age 55 and up, living in Suitland, Maryland and surrounding jurisdictions. Come join us!
